About
Obsessed with skies and moments, I must take photos. Although, not what some might consider a traditional photographer, rarely using backgrounds and extra lighting, I have somehow managed to capture quite a few skies and moments over the past 20 years.
In addition to taking photos I love using my hands to restore furniture, fix what I am capable of fixing and making various types of gifts that include calendars, center pieces, gift boxes, hand-stitched pillows, quilts and more. Aside from Photography and Gifts, I provide other services that include Web Management, Proof Reading and support with Office Communications. This is only a part of me.
As a little girl, my mother called me her star gazer. Yes, I am a dreamer. Older now, I understand how quickly moments pass us by. Being a former teacher and office manager who loves to learn, it's hard to put my finger on exactly what I love to do most, but I will say it involves a desire to help and heal. Taking photos and using creativity enable me to do both.
For some time now, I have turned my phone off for prayer and peace. It has been a way of disconnecting from the world daily and reconnecting to my own realities, life and faith. It has also been my way of defying a system that seems to hate anyone who is different. Although, life is difficult at times, this journey has taught me that my desire to help and heal is much more powerful than my frustrations. So, what do I want? Well, the short answer is, LOVE!
Peacefully, I have spent the last few years committed to not working for pay, while prayerfully believing that things can and will change as a result. What I have discovered is that most either don't know or don't care. I mean really, we have to survive don't we? Still today, I am trying without a clue as to what the best approach is to go about doing it. At the end, if I can somehow gain financial success while healing a piece of the world creatively, then every pain and every moment lost in a daydream will have been worth their weight in time.
